Pre-Engineering

Students wishing to major in any of the many branches of engineering may take their first two years in pre-engineering at SFA and transfer to a college of engineering for their final two years to complete their course of study. Students in the pre-engineering program normally transfer to another university for the last 2-years to pursue degrees in the following fields of engineering:

• Mechanical
• Electrical
• Civil
• Petroleum
• Chemical
• Others

Important: Students should contact engineering schools such as TAMU, UT Tyler, UTA, UTD, the University of Houston, and Texas Tech about the compatibility of the suggested curriculum with their program.
